Meadowed Hills / Forested Area These gently sloping, lushly foilaged hills are seen as a tiny green blur from the summit of Howling Mountain. But however tranquil the knolls may seem, the dark woodland forest surrounding them can be foreboding even in daytime.

Deadwood Swamp This marshland of a forest has become the victim of the spring snowmelts. It stretches for several kilometers, and is hazardous to pass through as its mire sinks under significant pressure - though it can handle perhaps a light cat. This is not a very sufficient place to find prey, but it can be used to train apprentices in various ways. Rotting brunneous trees, decayed leaves, tangled undergrowth and fallen logs litter the outskirts of the swamp; the only plants able to grow within the actual bog itself are slender shrubs and trees – at twilight these skeleton-like silhouettes are enough to haunt anyone. . .

Desert The desert is one of the worst places to find yourself in. Scorching, desolate, dry, and depressing, it can be assumed that more than one cat has died here before. Thankfully, the desert not too large, and several refreshing springs of water can be found along the way: if you’re lucky.

Howling Mountain Rumor has it that wolves inhabit this snow-capped mountain, but others say that whirlwinds blowing across the cold peak of the mountain create the eerie howling effect. Howling Mountain is many miles to the north of the clans; and the mountain chain that it is in spreads all the way to the north of the city.

Plainland The plainland stretches from the seaside all the way to SeaClan’s western territory. Several shady forests offer shelter for one traveling along the plains; and a main river leads from SeaClan’s cliff across the plain to the ocean. There is a drawback to the plainland, however; that would be the numerous hollows in which a predator could easily conceal itself.
